Good News: Witney sewage works upgraded

At last, some good news for the River Windrush!

Six years after the Green Party hosted the first public meeting on river pollution in Witney – highlighting the shocking sewage outflows poisoning our river – Thames Water have completed an upgrade of the sewage works in Witney.

This is only the beginning. The sewage works will still be overwhelmed in wet weather until leaking pipes which let rainwater into the sewers are repaired or replaced.
Meanwhile, Rosie is part of a group regularly testing river water and holding Thames Water to account.
